An ode to the region that gave Dinaric Adventures life
It all began in 2015 when our CEO and young tourist guide, Ivan Eremut, founded the company as a small, local agency. We offered various adventure activities on the Cetina River, making significant contributions to the entire region and the economic development of its micro-location in the village of Šestanovac.
Over the years, our unwavering dedication has led us to travel every route, explore every river, visit every island, and walk through every forest in Inland Dalmatia. This extensive firsthand experience has transformed us into true destination experts, with distinct specializations in active and adventure tourism. As the success of our DMC grew, so did our team, which has since expanded into an in-house squad of around 40. It all led to the launching of Dinaric Adventures in 2023.
Why Dinaric, you ask?
Well, as a DMC specialized in crafting and delivering outdoor journeys and experiences, spanning seas, rivers, mountains, and thousands of years of history, we believed we could best represent ourselves with a name that accurately describes the area where we operate. Thus, our name pays homage to the Dinarides, a masterpiece of Mother Nature, that stretches from Slovenia to Montenegro, with Croatia being the largest part. This is exactly what our itineraries reflect: Croatia as the main destination, the core, with extensions in neighboring countries.

Every experience we offer represents this magnificent mountainous area of Europe – it impresses with its massifs, rivers springing from its foothills into the forest, flowery meadows, and unmatched natural beauty. Its rocky and grassy facade was once submerged in the expanse of today’s Adriatic Sea, resulting in the creation of numerous islands along the Croatian coast from the submerging part of the western Dinaric Alps.
That’s why our logo <> showcases a compass and a mountain that reflects in the sea, in the form of the Cetina Spring, as it serves as the starting point of our company and symbolizes our deep connection to this region.
The mountain range is an essential ecosystem that provides access to clean water and healthy food, with crisp mountain air that merges with the salty sea. Its people, all of us, are engaged in traditional ways of agriculture, animal husbandry, and fishing, all activities directly related to nature. Preserving this ecosystem thus preserves the lives of everyone who lives here, and we are here to give visitors a first-hand look into the lives of locals, from sipping brandy in an old stone family house on a volcanic island to grilling freshly caught fish dressed in homemade olive oil, following the principles of „leave no trace behind“ and „leave it in a better shape than you found it“ to ensure a sustainable and responsible tourism experience.
